He had inherited the pet store from his father after he retired. He loved coming into the store as a child and enjoyed playing with the animals. His favorites included the birds and dogs. He had 3 dogs and 2 birds of his own. She had been taking care of a friend’s bird when it got sick and She rushed over to the store nearby for help. The door chimed and She entered all flustered and confused. He immediately called his veterinarian friend who lived a few blocks away to stop by to check the bird out. After a while the veterinarian said that the bird had by mistake bit its own feather hence it was bleeding. The veterinarian gave her some medication and explained that the bird should be better in a few days. He asked her if She would like a cup of tea to relax and She agreed. They got talking and that was almost 15 years ago. As He smiled over and kissed his daughter’s cheek telling her the story, He realized that if that bird had not been sick then, He would have never met the love of his life… _______________________________________________ She was walking through the park when She found a little bird wounded with his birds ruffled. She rushed him over to the veterinarian. He was patient caring and understanding. He got the bird treated and gave her the medication, as well as asked her to bring in the dog for a check up in a week. She returned as requested and the bird was quite healthy. They both got talking and He asked her out on a little date that eventually blossomed into love. They had been dating almost a year when He realized that He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He invited her to brunch and decided to pop the question in the most cheezy way possible. He had the ring in a little necklace with a feather… ________________________________________________ He had found that feather one weekend and it had been a lucky charm of sorts. He got his first job, and found a beautiful apartment. He was walking his dog one evening, shortly after He had found that feather when He bumped into her. He got talking with her, and He eventually got her number. Shortly after they went on a few dates, when He showed her his lucky feather. She was very understanding and complimented the feather as well. She decided to gift him something extra special. For his birthday, She decided to get the feather framed to preserve it for life. She planned his birthday party, and the guest surprised him. She took him to the balcony to give him his special gift. She hugged him tight and handed the gift to him. She said, “ Since you love this feather so much and find it lucky, I find it too. I thought I would take a chance to preserve it for you. I love you and I love this feather that brought me to you”… ________________________________________________

She had been handed her ancestral lantern from her great grandfather. She loved it dearly and lit it every year on her granny's birthday. She was lighting it on her birthday this year when suddenly the lamp got a bit burnt onto the side. She almost cried and sighed looking at it. She thought of searching for a place that might polish and get the stain off. She learnt after a quick web search that there was a store nearby. She went the following day, and She was greeted by a handsome young fellow. He often would volunteer to work shifts at his dad's antique store when He was off from his bank job. She explained her dilemma and He happily assured that it would be fixed. As She was about to leave, He said, "I know this probably unprofessional but would you like to take you for a cup of coffee sometime?" _______________________________________________________ He had been dealing in antiquities for a few years. He had often made it a point to keep the special pieces for his personal collection. He was known to be a great dealer and hence had quite a few loyal customers. One evening a lady entered his store looking for a gift for her granny. He happily showed her quite a few pieces and She said She was looking for something specific. He decided to show her a piece from his personal collection. It was a beautiful handcrafted lantern that was quite a few centuries old. She overlooked it as She stood by the fireplace many years later. She was feeling quite nostalgic on this Christmas morning about 25 years since She had bought that lantern for her grandmother. He came up behind her and said," I had a feeling I would not part with that beautiful lantern for too long and I was right. I got an even better deal it brought you to me"... _______________________________________________________ She had been quite an artist from a very young age. Her family always wondered where her talent would take her. Once She grew up She decided to major in design in university. Once She graduated She decided to invest her inheritance into an art gallery. She would use one half as her personal studio and the other as a gallery. He had heard of the new gallery opening up in the neighborhood and decided to check it out. He was astonished by some of the pieces on display. But He got mesmerized by the beautifully handcrafted lanterns inside the other side studio. He got a call from work and had to leave suddenly. She was busy making a sale but finally saw the studio door open and She saw somebody had left a note by one of her lantern pieces. It said, “I believe these are some of the finest pieces I have seen in my life. I would like to discuss buying them all. And it would be an honor to meet the artist as well. I am leaving my contact details here. I hope to hear from you soon and hopefully express my impressions of these pieces to the artist in person"... _______________________________________________________ |
