He had always wanted to be florist, but his love for his country took precedence over his love for flowers. Hence, as soon as He turned 18, He enlisted for the army. He was deployed overseas in various war-torn countries. On one of his tours, He had seen of his fellow officers die in a tragic accident and He ended up suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). As a result, He returned to open his flower shop where He met the love of his life. She came in to buy flowers to help cheer her up, but little did She know that She had changed his life entirely. She was gentle, sweet and calm. Today, almost 40 years after as He sat with his grandchild on his lap, He looked at her at a distance making one of his favourite dishes, He knew that his life could never be more perfect than this… _______________________________________________ She had always admired flowers, but She had never received any. Her friends would often make fun of her and tell her She should gift some to herself. He had noticed her around the office, and always looked for an excuse to speak to her. To find some sort of a connection to build a friendship with her. From the office friend circle, He found out her love for flowers. He decided to send her flowers in her birthday month, with small love notes, never mentioning his identity. She was surprised each day to find them on her table. Finally on her birthday, He decided to reveal himself, He brought a bunch of red roses. He walked up to her table, He sat on one knee and said, “Red roses signify love but what signifies eternal love? Perhaps I could signify my eternal love by gifting you are a flower for everyday I am blessed to spend with you. I would like to start by taking you out today on your birthday for dinner with these red roses if you would do me the honour?”… _______________________________________________ He had never paid much attention to flowers, He found them to be just another one of nature's many gifts. His mom loved flowers on the other hand; it was her dream to visit a honey bee farm. He admired his moms love for them, and her several attempts to explain the importance of flowers and honeybees. He decided to surprise her and take her on a visit to a nearby honeybee farm. His mother’s joy was no bounds when she heard of her son's surprise. They arrived at the farm, and He took his mom to the main office where his contact awaited them. He saw her waving at them from a distance. She was a young woman who had taken over her mother's business. She looked radiant in her pretty pink dress. She was more than happy to organize the tour on the condition that they would buy some honey at the end if they enjoyed the visit. After the tour, He bought a big jar of honey for his mother and as He left, He said, “I would like to thank you for introducing me to the beautiful world of bees and the importance of flowers as well. I hope someday I could visit again and maybe perhaps have dinner with you after?”… _______________________________________________

She had been writing to a secret pen pal for over a year now. They both had intentionally kept it a secret as the mystery some sort of a special touch to their letters. They had met over a messaging board for antiquities. They had then taken their conversation to emails, but they later found that even though emails were faster they wanted something more personal, so He bought a post office box and asked her to send hand written letters to it under his nickname. In turn, She would right back. As She placed the letter in the post box, a letter that would change their friendship completely, She was nervous but excited. He picked up the letter and was shocked at how beautifully She had expressed her feelings for him into words. He decided to leave a single note asking her to meet as He had just acquired a beautiful antique piece. She arrived at the café, and saw him sitting at a distance. She walked to him and He immediately sat on one knee and said,” I have waited many a century for someone like you, and I hope you will accept this timeless rose as a token of my love for you. And accept my wish to make you mine from now to eternity”… _______________________________________________ He volunteered at the post office, when He could. His dad had been a postmaster for about 12 years now, and it seemed like a different world to him. He loved that even in this digital age there were people who loved writing letters. She walked in to post a letter to her grandma who had just moved to another city. He gave her the necessary stamps and watched as She carefully placed them on the letter and gave it a final kiss goodbye. Apparently, She was quite close to her grandmother and She knew that writing a letter each week would help bridge the distance between them. He had instantly fell in love with her and that was almost 25 years ago. Today, they were celebrating their 25th anniversary with their children and grandbabies. He took her to a side and said, “I wrote this letter to you almost 25 years ago when I first saw you. I finally have the courage to give it to you”… _______________________________________________ She ran an antique store and often She would have customers bring in stuff they found in their attic wondering if it were worth anything. He came in with an odd request, He had found an antique clock in his grandfather’s belongings that He wanted to get polished and fixed to tell the time. She looked at it, and al though it would take sometime She would be able to polish it as well as tell the time. He came back a few days later to pick it up, but He also brought flowers with him. He said, “I told my grandpa that you were gonna fix his antique watch that he bought from his first pay check and he told me I should bring you flowers and he also sent you a letter thanking you. And when I mentioned how pretty you were, he made me buy the flowers he bought my grandma the first time they went out on a real date”. As She took the flowers, and took their whiff in, She could not help but smile… _______________________________________________ He had a very sensitive nose and He had quite a few allergies. As a result, most of his dates ended in him sneezing the whole evening and flushed red cheeks. He had totally given up on dating, until one evening when He went into his favourite café for some hot coco one cold winter evening. As He was standing by the pick up counter to pick up his comfort hot beverage, She passed by him. She had come in to see an old friend, wearing her classic favourite perfume. To his surprise, her perfume was quite pleasant and intoxicating. He found it to be so stubble yet classy that He had to find out what its name was. He saw her from a distance and She stunned him with her smile, radiance and sophistication. He had to find out not only what perfume She was wearing but who She was. He decided to send her a tiny note on the café napkin. He wrote, “Somehow your scent has intoxicated me who has quite a sensitive nose, I would love to know more about it and you as well. Maybe we could have a cup of coffee sometime ?” … _______________________________________________ She was fascinated by different scents. She had a very sharp nose that picked up quite an array of scents in a matter of milliseconds. One day at work, while She casually walking back to her desk, She whiffed a scent that had caught her off guard. It was something quite intense yet perfectly balanced. She actually started towards it, and little did She know it would land her into his arms. He was taken aback but quick to react and save her from a fall. Thankfully, the office was quite empty, both of their eyes continued staring at each other for just a few seconds. She was just so into his scent that She did not want to move away. He was charmed away by her soft perfect pink lips. Finally, She gathered herself and left go of his hand. They began talking, and both of them could not help focus due to their instant electric attraction. That was almost 7 years ago, today, She sat by him on the sofa while their son silently slept in the cradle. She took a whiff of the scent that had remain unchanged and smiled at how blessed She was… _______________________________________________ He had inherited his uncle’s perfume shop about four years ago. He had left most of it unchanged, expect add a few things like a perfume wish bowl where customers left the scents that they wish they could bring to life. He was casually emptying it out one day, when He saw one particular wish card that struck his attention. Along with a description, there was a bit of sketch to explain the perfumes importance to her. She had signed it at the end with her number, so that if ever it could be brought to life, She would love to buy it. He was so moved by it, that He set out to make this scent. It took him about two months, but finally it was ready. He informed her about his creation, and She came into pick it up in no time. The bell chimed, and She walked in with the biggest smile ever. As She took a whiff of the scent that had been magically created, She was transformed to moment that She sketched on the wish slip. It was perfect, He watched her and was so charmed to see her reaction and He realised that He could stare at her forever. She finally said, “You have given me the best gift I could ask for on my birthday. The payment for this memory that you have brought to life would not suffice in my opinion. Could I take out for dinner as well?”He replied with a smile, “Firstly, no payment is required consider it you birthday present and secondly, I would love to take you out to dinner”… _______________________________________________ She had fallen in love with the shoes from the store window, but the price tag always made her cry. She had been working hard to earn enough to pay for it by her birthday. She believed it would be the perfect gift from her to herself. She entered the store and gleamed with happiness. She began going through the stores other offerings as She knew She would have a little left over after She bought the shoes. She found a nice bag with a wallet to buy other than the shoes. She was excited; She then decided that it was time to pick up the shoes try them on. She sat by the seat waiting for the sales clerk, anticipating each moment. She put on the shoes, and was so overcome with joy that She jumped and fell into his arms. He had come in there with his little sister. Their eyes met, and they got lost into each other for a bit. His sister tapped his shoulder and He politely let go of her. His sister took a chance and said, “My brother just helped you from a fall, you should take us out for ice cream as a treat, don’t ya think?” And they both laughed and their eyes met once again… _______________________________________________ He had inherited his grandfathers shoe store from his father over two years ago. And the day He took over the store He met her. It was almost an instant connection. She had come in to get her dads shoes rebound. And their store was the only in the area that specialised in real animal friendly leather shoes and repairs. He got lost in her beautiful eyes and kind nature. He had no idea how to approach her to ask her out. She seemed to be interested in the making of shoes. Nevertheless, He knew that it was now or never when She came to pick her fathers shoes. As He gave her the change ( after giving her a hefty discount) He took a chance and asked. “Would you like to talk more about shoe making, repairs and other things over dinner sometime?” And She had yes, and on the eve of their two year anniversary, He was going to propose to her in the same shoe store where they had met in the most unique shoe-ific way… _______________________________________________ She had fallen in love with shoes as a child, watching her mom mix and match different pairs to her clothes. However, She inherited a love for not all shoes, but sneakers specifically, She had quite a collection with different types and colours. She had naturally dreamt of getting hitched in a sparkling pair of crystal bedazzled shoes. She had seen a pair, but the cost almost gave her a stroke. He had heard of her dream and decided that it was the perfect way He would ask her to make him the happiest man in the world. It was all set, He invited her out to her favourite restaurant, gave the waiter the pair of shoes to keep inside for the right moment. He danced with her, they dined, laughed and finally the moment the dessert came He knew it was time. He ushered the waiter to secretly bring the shoe. As He sat on his one knee, the waiter brought the box and He asked opening the box up, “My amour, I have never meant a woman like you and I am sure I won’t ever. I have loved you from the moment I laid eyes on you. Marry me in these shoes and make me the most blessed man in the universe?” She had tears in her eyes and with a choke and said, “Yes!!! Yes !!! Yes !!!” _______________________________________________ |
