She had been writing to a secret pen pal for over a year now. They both had intentionally kept it a secret as the mystery some sort of a special touch to their letters. They had met over a messaging board for antiquities. They had then taken their conversation to emails, but they later found that even though emails were faster they wanted something more personal, so He bought a post office box and asked her to send hand written letters to it under his nickname. In turn, She would right back. As She placed the letter in the post box, a letter that would change their friendship completely, She was nervous but excited. He picked up the letter and was shocked at how beautifully She had expressed her feelings for him into words. He decided to leave a single note asking her to meet as He had just acquired a beautiful antique piece. She arrived at the café, and saw him sitting at a distance. She walked to him and He immediately sat on one knee and said,” I have waited many a century for someone like you, and I hope you will accept this timeless rose as a token of my love for you. And accept my wish to make you mine from now to eternity”… _______________________________________________ He volunteered at the post office, when He could. His dad had been a postmaster for about 12 years now, and it seemed like a different world to him. He loved that even in this digital age there were people who loved writing letters. She walked in to post a letter to her grandma who had just moved to another city. He gave her the necessary stamps and watched as She carefully placed them on the letter and gave it a final kiss goodbye. Apparently, She was quite close to her grandmother and She knew that writing a letter each week would help bridge the distance between them. He had instantly fell in love with her and that was almost 25 years ago. Today, they were celebrating their 25th anniversary with their children and grandbabies. He took her to a side and said, “I wrote this letter to you almost 25 years ago when I first saw you. I finally have the courage to give it to you”… _______________________________________________ She ran an antique store and often She would have customers bring in stuff they found in their attic wondering if it were worth anything. He came in with an odd request, He had found an antique clock in his grandfather’s belongings that He wanted to get polished and fixed to tell the time. She looked at it, and al though it would take sometime She would be able to polish it as well as tell the time. He came back a few days later to pick it up, but He also brought flowers with him. He said, “I told my grandpa that you were gonna fix his antique watch that he bought from his first pay check and he told me I should bring you flowers and he also sent you a letter thanking you. And when I mentioned how pretty you were, he made me buy the flowers he bought my grandma the first time they went out on a real date”. As She took the flowers, and took their whiff in, She could not help but smile… _______________________________________________
