He watched as She tossed and turned in her sleep, He wished He could do something. But, the doctors had told him that these effects were only temporary with the medication, they would soon be gone forever. He got up and looked outside the window, He thought back to the last time She smiled. It was when He had proposed to her, at her favourite restaurant. It was their one year anniversary. Al though He knew He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her the moment He saw her smile from a distance, He had patiently waited. He knew how much She had been hurt in the past. As He signalled the waiter to play her favourite song, and He began expressing himself, She was speechless. As, He sat on his one knee and asked her to be his and only his (He would not mind sharing her with the kids) for the next seven lives. She had a tear drop and big smile, with a screeching yes. He wished He could see that smile again…
________________________________________________ She smiled at her son and kissed his forehead. She could not believe that after eight years of waiting She and the love of her life had been blessed with such a handsome (like his father) baby boy. Her little man had already got all the other mothers at the hospital’s attention, as word had spread that he had smiled the moment he had been laid down into his mother and father’s arms. Everyone had stopped by to see the handsome young man, and his father had become the official manager. As She was smiling to herself, She saw the little guy’s eyes open and he gave her such a tiny almost to die for adorable smile. She kissed his little nossie, and whispered into his ears, “Don’t worry, I will take more care of you than your daddy.” He had walked and heard what She had said to their bundle of love. He jumped in and kissed the little guy and said a loud with a chuckle, “Correction I will take care of you more than mommy, after all we are on the same right little guy?”…. ________________________________________________ He knew that She was sick and alone. He promptly picked up his phone and within an hour his travel plan was set. He boarded the afternoon flight and by nightfall He was at her doorstep. She had called and messaged almost a dozen times, but He ignored them all. He rang the door bell and listened inside. He could hear her cribbing at the empty space in her house as to why someone would come to meet her at this hour. After what seemed like a good 10 minutes, She opened the door, looking naturally beautiful but pale. She was drinking cough syrup out of the bottle and almost spat when She saw him at her doorstep. She gathered herself and let him in. He promptly kept his luggage at a corner as She locked the door behind him. He turned around and as She was about to say something, He wrapped her into his arms. She melted into his arms, and asked, “You realize that if we both fall sick, who the heck is going to take care of us?”… ________________________________________________
