He had bumped and tripped over her trolley bag, as He was lost in his phone. His phone went flying away into the distance and He fell flat on his face. She helped him up, and apologized more than a few times. Luckily, He had not hurt himself too bad, but his phone was another story. He got up brushed his trouser pants, and began his attempts to put his broken phone together. She helped him, and eventually they realized their attempts where in vain. She began crying, and He felt worse. He said, “Honestly, it was my fault I was so busy replying to my emails and looking at the stock market, I should have looked up. But, nevertheless, I got to meet a pretty lady like you”… ______________________________________________ She dragged her trolley bag into the restaurant at the airport. She had been delayed again, how She wished She could sleep somewhere. She ordered a cup of coffee and sat down thinking about how life had changed in just a year. It seems like yesterday She had met him on a pen pal site. It had began as an innocent friendship that later became quite a romance. She had often wondered if She had not responded to his message where She would be today. She was on her way to see him after He had visited her a few months back. She was a bit nervous about travelling alone, and the delays were not making things any easier. Suddenly, She got a text from him that said, “I just saw that your flight has been delayed, don’t worry when you land you will have a home cooked meal waiting for you. I can’t wait to see you my love. Safe travels. xoxoxo”. Reading this, all She could do was smile… ______________________________________________ He was on a flight to see his sister who had just given birth to a baby boy when He first saw her. She seemed lost, trying to frantically store her travel trolley bag in the overhead locker. He helped her put the bag up and they began chatting. She worked in a marketing firm and was on route to a conference. They talked about various things throughout the flight; He admired her passion for her work. She liked that He was so grounded that even though He owned his own business He chose to fly economy class. He still remembered the day as if it were yesterday as he looked over her. She was baking cookies with their granddaughter. He could not believe that it had been 35 years since they had met. He sent her a flying kiss that She promptly caught and kept close to her heart… ______________________________________________
